Head coach Micho Sredojevic has warned that as he plans to play an attacking game against Mozambique in the All Africa Games Qualifier on Saturday, his attackers will have to work their way into the team.

Micho has added CS Safien striker Yunus Sentamu - the only professional on the squad, to battle for a place with new players Paul Muchwerezi, Baker Lukooya and strikers who made it to Maputo for the first leg Villa Oromcan and Julius Malingumu.

“Look! Sentamu has the mileage in his feet but that is not what I’m looking at. Can he prove himself against any other? That is why I have four other players. We are going to play an attacking game and it has to have results to show. So whoever can do it for me is what I want,” Micho said after training on Wednesday.

By press time, the Kobs were due to play a build-up match against Sadolin Paints to give KCCA players who joined the team on Wednesday an opportunity to prove their match fitness before the squad could be downsized.

The build-up match was intended to benefit KCCA players Derrick Nsibambi, Baker Lukooya, Tom Matsiko, Simon Namwanja, William Wadri, Martin Kiza, Paul Muchwerezi, Isaac Ntege and Timothy Owanyi, who joined the squad on Tuesday morning. Uganda needs a win on Saturday to advance to the second round of the qualifiers.

The visitor’s contingent of 27 players and officials jet in Thursday evening and will be accommodated in Grand Global Hotel, Makerere. The Egyptian referees who will handle the match arrive tomorrow.
