Backed by national female weightlifter Becky Namusoke , 10 wrestlers and 15 weightlifters among which majority of them are on the national team, Black monsters club are now seeking for assistance from well-wishers to help them attain a permanent structure for training.

According to the club head coach Tom Ssenfuma , the Jinja based club were last year evicted from a permanent training structure on Mainstreet in Jinja town , but have since moved to train at  Kakindu stadium premises.

"We have a team of many national team players but its unbelievable that we have no permanent structure in place for Blackmonster gym.The land we have here is big enough for us to build a gym so we are now looking for well-wishers to help put up one for us,’’said Ssenfuma.

‘’The club facilities are few. This then makes the members have limited training periods not enough to prepare well enough to compete to the required standards .On the other hand participants experience so many injuries during training and yet still each participant has to cater for his or her own individual medical care,’’added the Jinja based coach .

The Jinja based non funded club has Prossy Irene ,Irene Kasuubo and Becky Namusoke as the only three ladies.
