IF it wasn’t for Kyambogo Warriors guard Ivan Enabu’s several flashes of brilliance, last evening’s tie against KIU Titans would have been the most tedious game to watch in the Airtel National Basketball League thus far.

Warriors coach Emma Semanya watched on from the bench as Enabu’s game high 20 points, three assists and two rebounds rescued his side at the Lugogo Arena.

The two teams managed a combined 10 points in the entire first quarter but the dour play prompted both coaches to make offensive changes with Collin Mukiza entering the fray for Warriors.

Mukiza’s stay was short-lived as he picked a collarbone injury within 41seconds of his introduction. His only contribution was a defensive rebound before he clashed with Albert Achiko to sustain the Injury that will keep him out of the Zone V clubs championship in Kigali from June 6-10th.

“I thank God for the win but it belongs to Mukiza not us. I pray he heals quickly because we need his services,” Enabu stated after the game.

In the women’s game, KIU Rangers enjoyed an easy 62-27 win over MUK Sparks in another game low on entertainment. Judith Nansobya led her side with a game high 10 points but no one else from the two teams scored double figures.
