THE basketball fraternity is headed for what promises to be a close contest as Kyambogo Warriors face KIU Titans in the Airtel National Basketball League.

Action is due at Lugogo in Kampala.

The entertaining teams will be battling for third place. Each team has 7 points from four games having lost once to UCU Canons, which means the winner today will go above the other in domestic basketball’s premier competition.

Some players preferred to adopt a cautious approach ahead of the game.

Point guard Ivan Enabu, one of the key players for two-time champions Warriors, said he respects the Titans.

“It is going to be an interesting game because both sides are good,” Enabu said after a training session.

“My team has young players who want to prove themselves.”

In the women’s category, Makerere Sparks, who are second from bottom, will host fourth placed KIU Rangers. Meanwhile, UCU Canons defeated Proline Heaters 76-59 in the men’s category on Wednesday.
