Kyambogo coach Allan Otim made it clear on Friday that his team Kyambogo College must keep up their momentum by winning their opening game of the schools League against Namilyango this Sunday.

Otim said that he is aware this year's League will be tight but it is better winning their opening fixture to avoid panic.

It is important to win your opening games. We must put on a performance to make sure our fans enjoy that moment they keep throwing their support behind us," Otim stated.

Meanwhile schools that field ineligible players during this year's national league that kicks off Saturday at various grounds risk heavy punishment from the Schools Committee that may include a ban.

Uganda Secondary Schools Rugby Association told New Vision that age groups will be respected in this year's league.

"We shall suspend them. We don't see why schools defy age groups if we are to develop the sport," Valence Bizimana, the USSRA boss, stated.

Kololo Secondary School kick-off their schools' national rugby league title defence today with a game against Makerere College School at the school ground in Kololo.

In the other games St. Mary's college Kisubi (SMACK) hosts London College, former champions Hana Mixed hosts Kings College Buddo and Kyambogo college visits rugby giants Namilyango college school.
