DEFENDING champions, Kyambogo Warriors and last season’s semi-finalists Kampala International University (KIU) registered their second wins in three games in the newly born FUBA National Basketball League.
The two teams were humbled by UCU Canons in their previous outings but put up a good show to win convincingly.
Warriors overpowered Miracle in a one sided encounter while KIU brushed aside Charging Rhinos.
KIU’s Donald Habiyambere and Warriors’ Ronnie Kasewu spurred their teams in the floodlit games played at YMCA in Wandegeya.
Habiyambere bagged a team high 14points while Kasewu made a game high 21points.
Bol Akol and Edwin Katerega chipped in with 12pts and 10pts respectively for KIU while Warriors were thankful for Ivan Enabu, Sam Gombya and Henry Malinga contribution with 13, 10, 10points respectively.
This was Malinga’s first game of the season, fresh from an injury layoff to beef up a Warriors side that lost two of its starters, Norman Blick and Cyrus Kiviri, during the transfer window.
