Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has appealed to the Government to address issues raised in the Gen. David Sejusa’s letter over sectarianism in the army instead of issuing warnings of reprimand to him.

Addressing a weekly press briefing at Party Villas at Najjanankumbi a Kampala suburb, Shadow Security minister Fungaroo Kaps said that the Government should come out and address issues raised by their own instead of making ways of silencing them.

“Do not persecute Gen. Ssejjusa; address the imbalances in the army top leadership. The massive desertion of the army, any expression of discontent and dissent by senior and junior army officers against the malpractices in the army may lead to a disciplinary action taken against them through the army court martial; and again, any unfair trial at the court martial may be viewed as persecution and this may lead to exile,” Fungaroo claimed.
