UGANDAN fans will on June 28 watch the long awaited kickboxing battle for supremacy between Moses Golola and Titus Tugume at Kyadondo Rugby Ground.

The fight day was agreed upon by the promoter and the local kickboxing federation together with the two fighters who have been daring each other for a while.

“The fight is already sanctioned by the federation and the fighters will later this week sign contracts. So now it’s about alerting Police and booking the venue,” fight promoter Hakim Ssebatya explained.

Being a professional fight, both fighters will have to surrender their titles to the judges and the winner will take them. The national and the East and Central Africa title for Tugume and Golola respectively will be up for grabs.

Golola is coming off some conroversy-laden losses that nearly derailed his career, but the 29-year-old isn’t letting anything stand in the way of his pursuit for redemption in the ring.

Last month he registered a win against Hungarian Betya Istavan. Before beating Istavan, Golola had lost a bout to Andras Nagy and followed it up with a defeat at the hands of Mate Zsamboki while Tugume defeated Hungarian Sandor Szabo on Good Friday in his last fight.
