MUBS beach soccer club has finally wooed Sand Pirate BSC and national team goalkeeper Michael Kalule with an offer of a course of his choice at the Nakawa based school.

The player is expected to replace MUBS first choice custodian Eric Dhaira, who is tipped to formalise a move to Ugandan football league champions KCCA FC during the transfer window.

Dhaira has lately been training with KCCA and is well-placed to sign a contract at the Lugogo based club.

MUBS head coach Charles Ayieko confirmed that they have already agreed terms with Kalule and the player will be in charge of their goal when they take on Zaba SM BSC this weekend.

Second round of the Pepsi Beach Soccer League kicks off at Lido beach on Saturday.

“I spotted Kalule long ago when he was still at Fisheries Institute (Entebbe) but I could not get him because he was still on bursary there. At the end of his studies Sand Pirates BSC was faster and snatched him. But this time we have managed to get him,” Ayieko explained.

He said that his unbeaten MUBS, YMCA, Nkumba Select and St. Lawrence BSC are the front runner’s to win the 2014/2015 season title. Defending champions Kira Young withdrew from the league.
