Body builder Ivan Byekwaso has embarked on another search for sponsorship that will enable him start preparations for the world championships due in Dubai later this year.

Following his exploits at the INBA Natural Body Building Olympiad in San Diego in November, where he won a bronze, Byekwaso won admiration from many including the President of the International Body Building Association Denny Kakos and former US Mr. America (1992) Charles Bradshaw.

Bradshaw was awed by the physique of the athlete and especially his legs which he described as ‘‘the best in the business’’.

One of the top body building trainers in Las Vegas, Kaspar Lorenzo then offered Byekwaso a two-month training opportunity to improve on his shoulders and posing which he thought let him down in his search for gold.

The INBA World Championships is due June 3-5 2015 in Dubai, but he is supposed to start serious training next month ahead of the competitions that also include the Mr. Universe in September and the Olympiad in Las Vegas in November.

Byekwaso travelled to last year’s competitions courtesy of state house funding and is currently searching for similar funding to enable him travel for the training ahead of the three competitions.

The 31 year old is also still waiting on the presidential sports award that comes with a monthly stipend to outstanding athletes who perform exceedingly well at international events for Uganda.
