A catholic priest in Soroti district has castigated parents who offer their children for ritual sacrifices to get rich.


" Some parents have offered their children to the devil, some have scarified them for riches," Fr. Francis Kayaye said.

Fr. Kayaye the catholic priest of Immaculate Conception Cathedral Soroti in a sermon to over 100 parents whose children were baptized Christmas eve urged parents to be God fearing.

"God the master of life is watching you. He will protect and promote the lives of these children," Fr. Kayaye preached.

He baptized 129 children the bigest number ever to be baptized in the  history of Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

He stressed the need for parents to spare time for their families to enable them instill good morals.
