The Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) is an inter-governmental organization initiated and led by the Nile riparian countries to promote joint development, protection and management of the common Nile Basin water resources.

The Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) is an inter-governmental organization initiated and led by the Nile riparian countries to promote joint development, protection and management of the common Nile Basin water resources.

NBI has a Shared Vision, namely: ‘to promote sustainable socioeconomic development through the equitable utilization of’, and benefit from, the common Nile Basin water resources’.

The NBI provides a unique forum for the countries of the Nile Basin to move toward a cooperative process to realize tangible benefits in the basin and build a solid foundation of trust and confidence.

1. The NBI now invites bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of goods and services under framework contracts for the following lots:

 

i) Stationery and office supplies

• Lot 1: Assorted paper

• Lot 2: Assorted Toner Cartridges

• Lot 3: Assorted filing materials

 

ii) Office & Compound Cleaning

 

iii) Security guard services

 

iv) Maintenance of office equipment:

• Lot 1: Maintenance of Air Conditioners

• Lot 2: Maintenance of Servers

• Lot 2: Maintenance of IT Equipment; Desktop computers, Laptops, printers, and Network equipment & cabling.

• Maintenance of photocopiers and printers

 

v) Maintenance of telephone & PABX Equipment (Avaya PABX and 43 handsets)

 

vi) Internet Service Providers

 

vii) Maintenance of the security doors and access system.

 

viii) Insurance: (Office Buildings, Office Equipment, and comprehensive insurance for vehicles.

 

ix) Repairs & Maintenance of Motor Vehicles

x) Provision of Travel Air tickets

2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Shopping bidding procedures contained in the Nile Basin Initiative Procurement Guidelines.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from NBI and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at from 9.00AM to 4.30 PM on working days.

4. A complete set of bidding documents in English may picked by interested bidders during the 22nd to 30th April 2013, from the NBI office address; Plot 12, Mpigi Road, P.O.BOX 192, Entebbe; Tel. No. 0414 321 424 / 321 329/ 320 208

5. Bids must be physically delivered and dropped in the NBI tender box located at the NBI reception area, at the address above in (4), at or before 15th May, 2013 at 11.00 a.m. Late bids shall be rejected.

6. Bids will be opened internally; bidders do not have to be around.
