KYADONDO, Kampala - The much hyped Nile Super Rugby final  between MTN Heathens and Toyota Buffaloes, however entertaining, turned out to be a same-old story.

Heathens smelt blood right in the first half when their underside nearly took an early lead in the first very few minutes.

Sensing that the Buffaloes seemed to want it more, and with much of the fans behind them, all hell broke loose with Heathens reigning in on their understudy side, and within close to 20 minutes, winger and man-of-the-match Bishop Onen, as he is fondly called, had made a try and a conversion.

Besides the exhilarating encounter and arguably worth-to-watch encounter with Buffaloes affording to convert two penalties in the second half, Heathens proved quite a handful for them and emerged the winner of the 2012-2013 Nile Super 8 winners at 20-6.

This makes them record defending champions.

An ealier afternoon tie for third spot saw DMark Kobs demolish G4S Pirates 48-10. Clealy Pirates were not in this game, leaving Kobs to give fans a one-sided display of fine rugby with winger Justin Kimono out-doing himself.
