FUFA will organise a three-nation youth soccer tournaments involving teams from the neighbouring countries in December as a way of gauging lower age teams’ development.
This was revealed by FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa at the closure of the one week U-16 Presidential Cup at Njeru on Friday. The organisers identified a squad of 22 for further training.
“It should not only stop at naming the players but also training them. This is what we have been lacking in youth football development. We want to expose our players internationally. We shall organise a three nation championship to expose our players early enough,” Mulindwa said. He said the competition will be annual.
