Could Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic be headed for South Africa?

Reports from the Rainbow nation indicate that Micho as Sredojevic is popularly known could be taken on by Free State Stars.

Soccer website KickOff.com has reported that the Premier League side may hire Sredojevic as their new head coach. The club recently parted ways with Belgian Tom Saintfiet after a string of poor results.

But when contacted yesterday, Micho dismissed the reports as an old story.

“It is not true. My loyalty is still with Uganda. I still have unfinished business here,” he said. He noted that because of his good work on the continent, he has been linked to many teams.

“But I can exclusively tell you that I am still in Uganda. By the way my contract expires in May 2015.”
The same website first wrote in June about the possibility of the Serbian joining Stars but Saintfiet, in the end, got the nod.

“Initially, they wanted him at the beginning of the season but at that time he wanted to focus on coaching Uganda and qualifying for the (2015) Afcon, but things have changed since then because Uganda failed to qualify,” a source told KickOff.com.

“They are talking to him at the moment so there is a good chance he may join Free State Stars.” Micho took charge of the Cranes last year from Rwanda on a two year contract.
