The World Health Organization (WHO), Country Office intends to dispose of the following tax-exempt items by public bid on ‘AS-IS WHERE-IS’ basis.

The World Health Organization (WHO), Country Office intends to dispose of the following tax-exempt items by public bid on ‘AS-IS WHERE-IS’ basis.

Items will be displayed for public viewing at WHO Premises, Plot 60 Prince Charles Drive, Kololo on March, 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and April, 2nd, , 3rd 4th , 5th, 8th, 9^th 2013 during working hours between 8.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. and between 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. on Fridays.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

a) A bid form to be submitted for each lot tendered for.

b) Each bid form shall cost UGX 50,000 and is non reimbursable.

c) On submission of the bid form, a copy of the WHO Receipt should be attached as proof of payment for the bid form.

d) For each vehicle a cash payment of 5% of the reserve price shall be paid in advance.

e) The cash payment of 5% shall not be refunded to the winners as it is taken as a deposit for the total bid amount. They shall be required to top up so as to complete the full payment.

f) The cash payment of 5% shall be refunded to the unsuccessful bidders.

g) Successful bidders to be notified within two weeks from closing date and they will be expected to pay the full bid amount by bank draft within one week from day of award.

h) Failure to meet the requirements above shall lead to automatic disqualification and the 5% cash deposit shall be forfeited.

i) WHO Country Office, Uganda reserves the right to reject any bid.

j) Sealed bids clearly marked “PURCHASE OF …….. LOT No………..” should be addressed to:

k) Bids to be hand-delivered and dropped into the Tender Box at the above address not later than 5.00 p.m. on Monday 5th April, 2013.

l) Bids should be hand-delivered and dropped into the Tender Box by the bidder/agent within the official working hours i.e. 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 08:00 to 02:00 pm on Fridays.
