Pirates coach Anthony Kinene has cautioned opponents not to underestimate his team in Saturday's Nile Special Premier Rugby League game at Legends Kampala Rugby Club.

Kinene told New Vision online that he is aware his side are the underdog but should not make Heathens think victory is guaranteed.

“We may be underdogs in this game but at the end of the day, we may be winners,” Kinene stated.

“What I only want is discipline. We lost last Saturday against Rhinos 12-5 because of indiscipline as we received three sin bins,” Kinene added.

Pirates last defeated Heathens in the league in 2010 at Kyadondo and in 2011 Uganda Cup 10-8 semi-final at Legends.

“We are going to attack them wide and defend tight on the inside so that we break them down,” Kinene stressed confidently.

Pirates will rely on centre Paul Kabazi, Eighth man Marvin Odongo, Lock Joel Anguyo and Daniel Chanowira.

His Heathens counterpart Brian Tabaruka when contacted said that he is aware it is going to a tough game but he expects nothing less than victory.

“We are not basing on history that is why we have trained hard trying to correct the past mistakes as this game will gauge our potential for the title,” Tabaruka stated.

In the other games, Kobs visit Entebbe Mongers at the house of pain, Makerere Impis hosts Toyota Buffaloes, Mutoni Warriors face Rhinos  at Legends and Thunderbirds hosts Panthers a team they crushed  43-5 last season in the ladies completion.
