Arthur Blick Jr has warned Maxime Van Pee not to think that his win in the sixth round of the national Motocross championship last October was a fluke.

Blick, at a press briefing at Shell Kibuye where Vivo Energy committed sh10m sponsorship towards the Nomi Motocross Championship next Sunday at Busiika said that he is training hard and Maxime should expect another surprise.

“I know he is first but let him expect a great challenge and more surprises because am now fit,” Blick said.

The event organised by SpeedWay Motor Sports Club and the 7th round of the National motocross championship and may see Maxime seal the national championship Blick won a record 10 times.

It will also have Ugandan riders Arthur Blick Jr and Maxime Van Pee battle former German champion Juggen Kupper and Israel champion Aerial Dabia.

“This event has many things that will thrill fans but their lives are a priority and that is why we shall make sure that they stay within the gazetted viewing points,” Blick Jr. said yesterday after a press briefing in Kibuye where Vivo Energy committed sh10m to the event.

“We are drawing this experience from the FIM Africa Championship and the last event in Garuga where fans turned rowdy so that is why we shall make sure that security officials tightly guard the viewing points,” he stressed.

The event will also feature rally cars with ‘retired’ drivers Chipper Adams, Emma Katto, Wycliff Bukenya and Christakis Fitidis facing off with the young generation of Ronald Ssebuguzi, Omar Mayanja and Leila Blick.

This will be in memory of the late Paddy Blick Sr. who contributed a lot to motorsport where he was a rally and motocross champion.
