Uganda Cranes goal keeper coach Fred Kajoba was on Monday morning unveiled as the new Bright Star FC coach. Kajoba was presented to the media at the club training grounds in Matugga.

Kajoba replaces interim coach Paul Kiwanuka who had taken Bright Stars through eight games of the league. Kiwanuka helped the team to three wins, three draws and a loss against defending champion KCCA FC.

Early last month, Simba fired Kajoba after he reportedly failed to respond to the club’s request to renew his contract that expired in August.

Kajoba's contract at Simba FC ran out at the end of September and the UPDF policy on employing civilian staff could not allow him to continue coaching at the club.

He becomes the third coach to complete a move in the Uganda premier league this season after Sam Ssimbwa replaced Steven Bogere at SC Villa and Harunah Kebba replacing Kajoba at Simba F.C
