Rugby clubs has opted for night preparations ahead of the 2013/2014 Nile Special Premier Rugby League that kick offs on Saturday with four games on card.

On Monday October 27, defending champions Kobs, Pirates, Mutoni Warriors and Ezee Money Rhinos stretched their training to around 8:00pm at Legends Kampala Rugby Club.

The coaches are all positive on their teams' performances in this year’s league.

Rhinos' Coach Henry Musoke told New Vision online that he expects good results against rivals Pirates just as it was last year.

“We are fit, we had two trials against Mutoni Warriors and they helped us trace the areas to improve on and we have done so,” Musoke stated.

Musoke boasts of prop Martial Tchumcan, wingers Francis Odonga and James Musitwa, fly half Byron Atubikire and new signing scrum half and kicker, Kevin Makmot.

However Pirates coach Anthony Kinene is optimistic his side will deliver.

Elsewhere Mutoni Warriors coach Herbert Wafula is worried of his forwards despite having a good back line.

“We are okay but my worry is that we shall be punished in the rucks and scrumaging by the teams with big players," Wafula told New Vision after training on Monday Night.

In the other games on Saturday, defending champions Kobs open their title defence against Xfm Impis at Legends Rugby Club at 5:00pm.

At Kyadondo former champions Heathens host Mutoni Warriors at 5.00pm with an earlier tie between Thunderbirds and their traditional Rivals Black panthers in the ladies category.

The eight-team national rugby league is sponsored by Nile Special.
