Singer Jose Chameleone's file has been forwarded to the director of public prosecution for counsel, according to police sources.

The file was opened as investigations into the mysterious death of Robert Karamagi at the singer's home in Seguku took twists and turns.

On December 26 Karamagi was burnt at Chameleone's home after he allegedly poured fuel on himself in an attempt to pour it on Daniella who found him loitering in their sitting room. That was Daniella's original statement.

However as investigations took shape witnesses came up claiming Karamagi was well known to the family, and one recorded a statement saying he saw Chameleone and his crew torture and burn Karamagi at his home.

Karamagi succumbed to severe burns the next day at Mulago national referral hospital.

The Police source said statements were taken from Robert Karamagi's father, Maj. Bendict Kyamanywa, Chameleone, his wife Daniella Mayanja among others.

The Police will then act accordingly depending on the counsel by the DPP's office. The case file, number DEF01/2012, is being handled by police detectives of Kampala Metropolitan South led by Katwe CID boss Jackson Tumwine.
