KAMPALA - Workers MP Dr. Sam Lyomoki has snubbed Police summons requiring him to report for interrogation for allegedly inciting violence during the burial of MP Cerinah Nebanda in Butaleja district in December.

Lyomoki was expected to report to the commandant of the special investigations Unit in Kireka on Monday to record a statement regarding the words he uttered during the burial, which the Police say, were intended to incite mourners into acts of violence.

However, addressing journalists on Monday at the parliamentary building in Kampala, Lyomoki said he would not appear before the Police because they were also suspects in Nebanda’s death.

“The Police have no moral authority to summon me. They should first summon the inspector general of police and ask him why he stopped an independent pathologist from taking samples of Nebanda’s body for toxicological tests in South Africa,” he said.
