FUFA has resolved to pick another winner for the car used in the promotion of the Uganda Cranes Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Guinea last month.

This is after the original lucky winner did not show up even after several public reminders by the federation. FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza said  that they plan to give out the car next week.

Using ticket numbers for the Uganda versus Guinea match September 10, another draw will be conducted at FUFA House next week after the contingent in Togo has returned.

“We shall give it (car) out when the contingent is back. We hope to do a fresh draw but using ticket numbers for the Guinea match,” Kiza said.

However, another school of thought within the federation insists that the car should be kept and used again to promote the home Nations Cup qualifier against Ghana next month.

FUFA had planned to use three cars to promote Uganda Cranes home games against Guinea, Togo and Ghana in their bid to qualify the team for the finals in Morocco next year.

The federation however, thought it was unnecessary to spend on the Togo game. Both the players and FUFA officials in Togo are expected back in the country early Friday morning.
