The Police are hunting for a witchdoctor at whose home a trader in Nakasero market is believed to have vanished.

Grace Nampijja a trader of fresh foods was last seen on December 2, 2012.

Her daughter Aisha Nalunjogi told Bukedde newspaper that her mother always finished work at 4.00am but on the fateful day she never showed up at home in Masajja.

Nalunjogi said that her mother called her on Friday crying and asked her to inform neighbours to rush to Nakasero market and arrest Nnaalongo Njawulo because she had taken her to a place where she could be killed.

She told her daughter that unless Njawulo went to her rescue they would never set eyes on her again.

The market chairperson Hajji Ahmad Matovu said that  Njawulo, real name Namagembe confessed that they went together with the missing woman to a witchdoctor identified as Sserubiri at Kinoni in Mabira Forest but Nampijja was blocked from returning to the market until her issue was resolved.

However Nalunjogi together with her grandmother Veronica Nayiga of Mpigi believe the trader could have been murdered in a ritual sacrifice in Mabira.

Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi said when they drove to Sserubiri’s home they did not find him there.

"We are looking for Sserubiri and we are still investigating Nnaalongo Namagembe even though she was released on police bond," he said.

Namagembe is being charged with kidnap vide file number 14/28/12/12 of Nakasero Police.
