SC Villa president Immanuel Misagga has revealed that the Jogoos had to recruit coach Sam Ssimbwa because he looks at the club churning out players into professional ranks regularly.

"As a businessman myself, we wanted a business oriented coach and Ssimbwa is one," Misagga told the players as he handed them their Eid Adha celebrations package at Villa Park.

"His (Ssimbwa) immediate task is to make you players a professional material. We want to be able to offload at least four players into professional ranks in the next six months to give other players opportunity to replace you," Misagga added.

Neither officials could pinpoint candidates SC Villa should be able turn professional by March 2015 but sources at Villa Park indicate that the immediate focus is on the senior players like former professional midfielder Hassan Wasswa, Musa Doka and Steven Bengo.

Misagga also warned the players and the technical staff against indiscipline and hypocrisy.

Ssimbwa took over from Stephen Bogere on Wednesday following SC Villa's 2-1 loss to Police despite winning two opening fixtures.

Flamboyant coach Ssimbwa said that the challenge is possible if given the facilities to do the job. Ssimbwa has moved the team training to Bwebajja instead of Villa Park and Mityana where they trained before. He argues that Villa Park has poor surface.

Midfielder Wasswa said that Ssimbwa will meet the target because he is, 'like a father to us. He also knows the league. The only thing we will need to do is adjust to his style of coaching."

Soon after assuming leadership of SC Villa mid-July, Misagga has openly said that he is pioneering investment into business oriented football club management and that he hopes to reap from the venture.

The players' package on Saturday included sh2.5m winning bonus and sh0.5m for the UPL victory against URA FC.
