It is said troubles comes in threes, but for East Africa Legislative Assembly MP and DP legal advisor Mukasa Mbidde, it is happiness all the way to the close of what is arguably his most successful year.

A few months into his first term of the regional parliament, Mbidde is set to be introduced by his fiancée, Bukomansimbi woman MP Susan Namaganda at her parents’ home in Kikaaya -Kisojjo village, Kibinge sub county next Saturday, December 15.

Mbidde could not resist the attractive Namaganda

Namaganda caught the media’s undivided attention during the swearing in ceremony at parliament last year. Bedecked in a green gomesi, looking young, hot and graceful, MPs were visibly excited as she made her way to the podium. Journalists also scrambled to join her at the podium as she was being sworn in.

However, Mukasa Mbidde, also a socialite, was also not sleeping on the job and their romance is known to have begun earlier. He would campaign for her at rallies and had most DP voters on her side.

Mbidde also contested for the Kalungu East seat but lost. His luck however would come later when NRM offered DP a deal to die for and Mbidde was overwhelmingly supported by the ruling party MPs during voting.

He always introduced Namaganda at rallies saying: “People of Bukomansimbi I have already won the heart of this beautiful woman and all that is left is formal introduction.”

Preparatory meetings for the introduction are being held at Golf Lane Hotel in Masaka and invitation cards are being distributed already.
