You might probably be wondering what gifts to give the men in your life. Unlike gifts for women, which are easy to get, those for men are hard to find.

However, with careful thought and attention to what your husband, father, and son say, you can find out what they are really into. Here are tips on how to go about it.

Fitness equipment

Instead of adding on the number of ties or trousers, the men in your life have, why not pay for their gym classes? You can further bring the fitness class home by buying gym equipment like a bicycle or a trade mill so that you and your loved ones can exercise whenever they want.

Enid Namaganda of Katumwa Sports Centre says a tummy trimmer can be a good gift for a person, who wants to keep in shape. “It can help you shade off that extra weight on the stomach, but also put your spinal cord in line,” she says. The tummy trimmer costs sh80, 000.

At Super Sports House in Kampala, Ashraf Butt says you can get benches for exercises and aerobics between sh50, 000 and sh130, 000. For those with benches, these help to prevent back problems and give you proper posture. You can also go for a wed bench for weight lifting, Butt says it is important for body building and it costs sh650, 000.

A chair
Most men prefer distinguished places. Why not get a good chair for your husband, father or any other special man in your life? They can use this when watching their favourite games and at the same time chat with visitors.

Esther Kabarungi of Spectrum Furniture says a swivel arm chair will be comfortable since it enables one to turn in whatever direction they want.

Shoes
Unlike women, there are few men who have many pairs of shoes. If you notice, men usually have two to four pairs of shoes. One for church or party and another for work and others who are into sports have another pair for sports plus sandals.

This is because men’s shoes are expensive. At Bata, men’s shoes cost between sh49,999 and 149,999.

Samsung galaxy note

If your husband is a phone and technology fanatic, you won’t go wrong by getting him a Samsung Galaxy note. It is currently the new phone with highly modernised advanced features.

According to one of the sales persons at Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy phone has a note pad for writing down ideas. You can also edit images that you have taken to make them clearer.

The phone has a large screen you are able to see all the features of the phone and what you do on it clearly. At Samsung mobile shops, theses phone cost between sh1.6m and sh2.5m each.

Haircuts

It is not only women who go to salons; men also care for their skin and hair. This Christmas, you can pay for your man’s salon bills.

Building materials

If the man in your life is having a building project say your own home or trying to acquire other property, it is important to support them.

Henry Kyobe, a family man, who is building, says you can help out by contributing on the cement or buying glass for windows or anything else. With that, you would have made his Christmas memorable and reduced on the money he would have to spend.
