I
RENE’S IN LOVE…..IS WHAT’S ALL OVER THOSE LYRICS, WHO IS THE LUCKY GUY?
Gyobeera has nothing to do with a relationship. Ray Signature wrote the song and when I did the demo, I fell in love with the lyrics because they were pretty simple, yet interesting; I did not sing it for a particular guy.

trueARE YOU DATING?

Not at the moment.

WHO IS YOUR LATEST CRUSH?

Usher Raymond.

I’M TALKING LOCAL…

You don’t know him.

YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED….
No you don’t.

YOU ONCE WROTE ON FACEBOOK, “THE NEW KYABAZINGA IS HANDSOME… EHH CONGS BASOGA.” DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM?
No. I know I have Basoga fans and that is why I wrote that. I just find him cute, no emotional feelings.

BUT YOUR SONG OLINDABA HAS A LUSOGA LINE “OKOBA KYOYENDA”…
That was the song writer’s idea, not mine. All I did was sing.

WHAT WENT WRONG IN YOUR LAST RELATIONSHIP?
All I can say is it didn’t go well; I don’t want to talk about it.

WHEN DID YOU LAST GO ON A DATE?

It’s been a while; I don’t even remember the last time I went out with a guy.

ARE YOU A NUN?

(Laughs)… No, I am too busy for a relationship right now. And just like any other female, guys hit on me and ask to take me out for coffee, movies or ice cream.

But I am usually working and barely have time to socialise, or get to know someone. With the little time I have on my hands, it would be hard to discern whether a guy is genuine or not. I would need much more time to do so.

WHAT IS THE MOST EMBARRASSING COMMENT ANYONE HAS MADE ABOUT YOU BEING SINGLE?

Someone recently said to me: Okadiye meaning “You are old”, but I don’t feel old. I am only 25. Perhaps if I were 30, I would be worried about my status.

QUALITIES YOU LOOK OUT FOR IN A POTENTIAL PARTNER?
God-fearing, respectful, supportive of my career, handsome, ambitious and of course, financially-stable.

WOULD YOU GIVE UP YOUR CAREER FOR FAMILY?

No way. Even after I get kids, I will sing. That is why I need a man who will be supportive of my career.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER AN OPEN MARRIAGE?
Not with my church background. Marriage should never be open; it’s divine and should be between two people, who take vows to be with each other till death.

WHAT PERTURBS YOU MOST ABOUT MEN’S BEHAVIOUR?

I don’t understand men who hit women.
