FUFA technical committee is considering KCCA FC assistant coach Abdallah Mubiru to take charge of the U-23 national football team in the absence of head coach George Ssimwogerere.

Ssimwogerere has taken up a job as coach of the Somalia’s national football team.

The former international like Mubiru, may not be available to handle the U-23 team due to participate in the All Africa
Games and Olympic qualifiers.

The 2015 All-Africa Games will mark the 50th anniversary of the ‘African Olympics’ and Uganda expects to take on Mozambique in the first round of the competition.

The winner will then face Ghana in the second round. The matches will be held between February and April.
