Girl with kidney problem seeks help

An eleven year old girl Holga Amito, a P6 pupil of Police Primary School in Gulu is down with kidney problems and seeks help from good Samaritans.

An eleven year old girl Holga Amito, a P6 pupil of Police Primary School in Gulu is down with kidney problems and seeks help from good Samaritans.
 
 According to her father Benson Otto a peasant farmer of Opit village, Omoro County in Gulu district, the problem started on 5th September.2012. 
 
“Her face got swollen, and then the chest downwards to her legs making her so weak and unable to walk,” he explains. 
 
Amito was first admitted at St Mary Hospital Lacor Gulu where medical investigations revealed both her kidneys had defects resulting in serious body swelling. 
She has currently been admitted to Mulago hospital where she was referred for Renal Dialysis and further management. 
 
The father explains that as he looks for about 2m for the renal dialysis process he has also been advised to collect about 8M to enable the girl go to India for a kidney transplant. “I appeal to good Samaritans to assist me as I don’t have money at all and even finding it a problem to maintain the two of us at Mulago hospital,” he said. 
 
Amito who holds a container and spits almost all the saliva which comes in her mouth is also failing to eat. “She vomits the food immediately after she takes it,” explained her father.
