When Mafikizolo refused to perform at the Club Mega Fest on Saturday, their fans seemed to have been robbed of a lifetime opportunity to see them perform.
However, there was a lifeline that was the VIP show staged in Victoria Hall, Serena Hotel on Sundayevening.
By 7pm, the auditorium had already been packed to the rafters, and it was standing room only.

Guitar maestro, Myko Ouma and Steve Keys warmed up the well-lit stage with renditions of different artistes that included Davido’s Aye and John Legend’s All Of Me.
A few minutes after 8:00pm, the emcee of the night, Gaetano Kaggwa, literally shouted himself hoarse as he announced the Afro-pop group’s entry.
People instantaneously shot up from their seats and made a beeline to the stage as Mafi kizolo walked up the glistening stage.
Backed by their band and dancers, Mafi kizolo, made up of Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza, unwrapped their repertoire of songs with their signature sounds.

They kicked off the show with Ndihamba Nawe. The crowd went wild, waving their phones in the air to capture every moment. For the next one hour, Mafi kizolo delivered an enchanting set of their renowned repertoire of songs.
From Udakwa Njalo to the melodic, smooth Emlanjeni that saw revellers clinging onto each other in a lazy dance as they mumbled to ‘You will meet me at the river...’ to the danceable Tchelete.
There was stage chemistry between the Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza and their back-up team which made their performance electrifying.
They delivered a befi tting climax, building to a momentum with their popular Khona hit that threw everyone on the dance floor as the people literally danced themselves lame, delightfully.
