Four traders were Monday night confirmed dead and five others seriously injured, after a Fuso truck they were traveling overturned at Kyakatebe, about twenty kilometers between Mubende and Kampala

Four traders were Monday night confirmed dead and five others seriously injured, after a Fuso truck they were traveling in overturned at Kyakatebe, about twenty kilometers between Mubende and Kampala

Alex Muramuzi, the traffic officer at Mubende police station identified the deceased as Swaibu Ssekitoleko, a resident of Nansana in Kampala; Isaac Kizza, a resident of Nansana in Kampala; Alex Ssentumbe, a resident of Kawempe and Elijah Mwanje, a resident of Lyantonde.

According to eyewitness, the driver of the Fuso truck which was carrying over thirty cows lost control of the vehicle while trying to dodge a boda boda cyclist.

Residents slaughtering one of the animals following the accident

The cyclist too was killed according to the eyewitness, but his body and the motorcycle could not be accounted for.
 
Alex Muramuzi, the traffic officer at Mubende police station said they were still investigating the incident.

Residents took advantage and started slaughtering the dead cows throughout the night as hundreds of people gathered at the scene to share the meat.
