MICHO Sredojevic has warned his Uganda Cranes charges not to lose concentration because of an away point earned in Kumasi, but focus on Wednesday’s must win encounter in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Sredojevic is reported to have told the players, who were in celebratory mood after holding Ghana to a 1-all draw, that they had only taken the first step and they now have to walk the talk and end Uganda’s absence at the continental showpiece.

Ghana represented Africa at the just concluded World Cup and were at home at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday.

The team jets in Monday morning and immediately heads to camp to link up with other players including Geoffrey Massa who didn’t travel to West Africa for the match.

Tony Mawejje allayed fears of a lack of striking options upfront when he scored a brilliant goal to gift Cranes the lead.

Mawejje’s shot was deflected off John Boye to beat Ghana’s goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.

Goalkeeper Dennis Onyango stood tall and repelled several waves of attack from the hosts including denying captain Asamoah Gyan in a one-on-one situation.

Abdul Majeed Waris went down softly minutes after the half time restart and the referee pointed to the spot even though replays showed that there was barely any contact.

Andrew Ayew then scored from the spot sending Onyango the wrong way to bring the Ghanaians level.

Ghana will on Wednesday travel to face Togo, while Uganda will host Guinea at Namboole.
