DEMOCRATIC Party (DP) president general Norbert Mao is expected to come back into the country on Wednesday, according to DP Secretary General, Mathias Nsubuga.

Nsubuga told New Vision in a phone interview that he had confirmed that Mao would be in the country on Wednesday.

“I last spoke to him on Saturday and he told me he was coming back this week,” Nsubuga said.

Mao was flown to Nairobi hospital about two months ago to seek better medical attention after a malaria attack and severe chest pains.

Dusman Okee, Mao’s brother said after being discharged from hospital, the doctors advised to have Mao rest in Nairobi and not Uganda as they believed he will be disturbed because he is a politician.

Mao was first admitted at Gulu Independent Hospital and later Lacor Hospital also in Gulu but had failed to respond to medication. This prompted his family to fly him to Kenya for better medication.
