The Falcons snatched their 13th successive victory in the men’s Airtel National Basketball League with a straightforward 79-44 win over Rez Life Saturday at the YMCA, Wandegeya.

Next, the Kyambogo Warriors, D’Mark Power and KIU Titans.

Francis Tumusiime drilled a game-high 16 points as the Falcons comfortably stretched the longest winning streak in the men’s elite division.

Edwin Kateregga and Peter Elungat added 15 points apiece while Phillip Amweny nailed 10 points for the red-hot Falcons.

Felix Wamuno and Daniels Jjuko scored 11 and 10 points respectively for Rez Life, who lost the first, third and fourth quarters heavily. They tied the Falcons at nine points in the second period but that was just one of the few positives for Rez Life.

After the match, Falcons superstar Steven Omony said while the team was happy with the winning run, it wasn’t “much of a big deal”.

He added that they will need to raise their level ahead of their next three games.

“We have to play these games with a different mind-set because all these teams are title contenders,” Omony said shortly after the match in Wandegeya.
