Court preside over by Michael Otto- the Kabale chief magistrate- heard Tuesday that Brigadier Rutinywa entered Uganda illegally and was intercepted by security officials on August 23 on his way from Kampala to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Rutinywa pleaded guilty to the charges but denied claims that he was Rwandan and submitted documents in court proving that he is a Congolese who speaks Rwandese.

Court ordered that once he pays the 1 million shillings fine, he should immediately be deported to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
