As FUFA pursue compliance with National Council of Sports regulations, the federation will hold its extra-ordinary assembly at its technical centre in Njeru, near Jinja on Saturday.

According to the federation chief executive Edgar Watson, the assembly is expected to debate and address the administrative structure of FUFA in line with demands of NCS rules and regulations.

NCS last year received new guidelines from the ministry of Education and Sports on regulations that require all federations and associations to be fully controlled by the council of sports or they will be disbanded.

“We are just doing our part to meet the demand for compliance with the NCS regulations. We shall only discuss adjustments in line with the guidelines,” Watson said.

After the FUFA extra-ordinary assembly, FUFA will hold its annual gathering due in northern Uganda town on Lira on October 25.
