CHARLES Waiswa took 4-19 as the Warriors got their 2012 East Africa Cup campaign off to a winning start with a four-wicket defeat over the Knights at Entebbe.

Waiswa was the reason Rwenzori were always in control of this match after helping to restrict the Knights to 112 in 39 overs.

Waiswa claimed Hamza Saleh just as he was getting stuck in and carrying the flailing Knights. Saleh led the Knights with 32 runs, with Frank Nsubuga adding an unbeaten 27 runs.

In response, Ivan Thawithemwira scored 50 off 64 and Abu Seguya 30 off 40 balls to lead the Warriors to victory in 26.3 overs.
