Invitation for Bids (IFB)

DESIGN AND PRINTING OF VILLAGE HEALTH TEAM/INTEGRATED COMMUNITY CASE MANAGEMENT OF CHILDHOOD ILLNESSES REGISTERS

IFB Reference Number: MOH-UHSSP/SUPLS/11-12/00056

1. This Invitation follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared on- line in the UN Development Business of 16th February 2011.

2. The Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the International Development Association toward the cost of the Uganda Health Systems Strengthening Project (UHSSP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for supply and delivery of Registers for Village Health Team/Integrated Community Case Management of Childhood Illnesses.

3. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply and delivery of Registers for Village Health Team/Integrated Community Case Management of Childhood Illnesses

4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address No. (11a) given below from 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

6. Qualifications requirements include: (a) Audited Financial Accounts for the last three years to demonstrate that it meets the following financial requirements: An average annual turnover in the last three years of at least twice the bid price; (b) A minimum of three (3) contracts of similar scope and value to the offered goods executed in the last three (3) years supported by copies of delivery notes. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only (UGX 100,000). The method of payment will be by direct deposit through the Ministry of Health Cashier. The Bidding Documents will be available for pick up at the address given in No. (11a) below.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address (11b) below at or before 10:00 am on 29th August 2012. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address in No. (11c) below on the same day starting at 10:10 am.

9. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of UGX 10,000,000.
