Former soccer star turned socialite, Mujib Kasule has been rumoured to be involved with former Miss Uganda Salma Nassanga and Julianna Kanyomozi. Carol Kasujja asked him about them

Q: Mujib, you are sizzling hot. When are you getting married?

A: I am happily married to one wife with two kids but my first born is from another woman. Right now, I have no plans of getting another woman.

As a staunch Muslim, would you date outside your religion?

In my religion we do not date, we marry. I cannot make that mistake. You have to be someone who was raised in a Muslim family for me to consider you.

As a landlord in Wandegeya, how many campus girls have gone down?

Heh, heh! Okay this is funny. At the time I would have laid those girls, I was out of the country so I missed out. When I came back, I was married. I have never entered a girls’ hostel. In 1996, when I was running my aunt’s restaurant (Tipsy). I used to see hot babes but I was never moved yet most of them used to seduce me for more chips.

Talking about laying girls; is it true you were involved with Julianna Kanyomozi and Salma Nassanga?

I thought you are asking funny questions, that is a serious question. Well, I met Julianna when she was still at Bugema. She was my cousin’s best friend so she used to come and visit us at home. We never interacted then because she was young. When she joined Namasagali, I left the country. When I came back, my cousin blamed me for being slow because Julianna had a crush on me but she couldn’t tell me. I asked her whether the crush was still on, and she smiled. I usually ask her that question but she just smiles. Salma is a friend.

Your lifestyle is different from other Kasules. Don’t you get lectures when you go for family gatherings?

That is absolutely not true. I am the most down-to-earth person in my family. Some of my siblings party from Monday to Friday. As for me I just go to club to look at people and support my friend Charlie Lubega, the owner of the club. I am very religious. You can’t believe it, but I have never stepped on a dance floor.

If you had a match to watch and a dinner date to attend where would you go?

I have had those situations but eight out of 10 I have gone for the match. Football dominated me but ever since I got married, I am trying to be flexible I no longer fight for the remote and I am lucky my wife appreciates my passion for the game.

How did you manage to pass with a first class degree in economics yet you were a footballer and a rich man’s kid?

It is true most footballers can’t perform in class because the only time they have is for training. In the end, they lose it and start focusing on girls and matches. Personally, I was not playing football for a living. It was something I used to do for fun. The fact that I was coming from a rich family helped me because teachers would follow me and be on my case to study.
