The songs, apart from having a calming effect, take you into the presence of God. This is especially true with Kumabaali gomuga (at the bank of the river), a song that is receiving ample airplay on many Christian TV and radio stations.

Nakazibwe says: “When I want to pray sometimes, I would like to be at the bank of the river. It has the quietness that your soul needs in order to be tuned into Gods’ heart.”

Another song, Linda (wait) encourages the listener to patiently wait on the Lord without complaining. “In His perfect time, He will come through for you.

Do not do something rash that you will regret”, she sings in part. “God knows the right time to redeem you and you should have hope that He will do what He promised,” Nakazibwe says.

Another song, Lazalo, penned by renowned song writer, Silver Kyagulanyi, cautions us to remember that it is never too late for your miracle. It reassures Christians that there is no situation that is too difficult for God to turn around.

Nakazibwe started singing in P4. She dropped out of school in 2004 when she was in S4 at Mityana Secondary School. She concentrated on her music and now has two albums.
