COLONEL Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Commander of the Special Forces has completed a prestigious military course in South Africa.
The 22 weeks 'Executive National Security Programme' run at the South African National Defence College (SANDC is usually undertaken by senior army officers from the rank of colonel and above.
Some of the senior army officers in Uganda who have received similar training at the same college are Brigadier Paul Lokech, the commander of Uganda’s contingent in Somalia, and Colonel Apollo Kasita Gowa, the commandant of Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka.
In an exclusive interview with New Vision Online last evening, Col Muhoozi son of President Yoweri Museveni remarked,” the course is very intense indeed. The essence of the course is 'national security', you spend 22 weeks studying national security until it is coming out of your ears."
"This is advantageous because while here you study national security trends in Africa and seeing where Africa will be in the next few decades....”
State House confirmed that President Yoweri Museveni attended the pass out events.
