The First Lady, Janet Museveni, has received a pledge of $20,000 that the First Lady of Rwanda, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, made to the school building project in Itojo, Ntungamo district.

Mrs. Kagame made the pledge when she visited Mrs. Museveni recently.

Of the $20,000, $10,000 is from Rwanda’s women parliamentarians and $10,000 is from Mrs. Kagame’s organisation, the Imbuto Foundation.

Uganda’s ambassador to Rwanda, Richard Kabonero, delivered the donation at State House, Nakasero last week.

The handing over of the pledge was witnessed by the Rwandan ambassador to Uganda, Maj. Gen. Frank Mugambage and the headmaster of Itojo Primary School, Posiano Mugisha.

Mugisha extended gratitude to the First Lady of Rwanda on behalf of the Itojo community.
