Hundreds turn up for Labour Day celebrations in Gulu

Festivities to mark the International Labour Day have kicked off at Kaunda Grounds in the northern district of Gulu.

The theme for this year’s day, social dialogue: A tool for national development.

The chief guest President Yoweri Museveni arrived at around 11am. He inspected the guard of honor and stalls of Ugandan workers adding value to raw materials.

The President is accompanied by the First Lady who is also the minister for Karamoja affairs Janet Museveni. Vice - President Edward Ssekandi, ministers, MPs and other dignitaries are present.
