Rural Electrification Agency

 1. The Government of Uganda has received funding from German Financial Cooperation (KfW) and intends to apply part of the funds towards payments under the contract for Consumer Awareness Consultancy.

 

2. The Rural Electrification Agency invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to provide Customer Awareness Consultancy.

 

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with KfW Procurement Guidelines for the Assignment of Consultants, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

 

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Rural Electrification Agency and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 7(a).

 

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address given below in No.7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 200,000/=. The method of payment will be by cash at the Agency’s Accounts Offices and an official receipt issued.

 

6. Bids must be delivered to the address given below in No. 7(c) at or before 11.00 a.m. (local time) on June 4th, 2012. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 3,000 (United States Dollars Three Thousand only).

 

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address given below in No. 7(d) on June 4th, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. (local time).
