RWANDA Junior Wasps coach Richard Tardy has advised his counterpart Paul Nkata to train the Hippos on a better surface if the team should advance past Mozambique in their U-20 Africa Youth Championship qualifier in April.

“Uganda plays a technical game and the players understand the way they play. Maybe they need to train together for some time and play on a better surface than this (Nakivubo),” Tardy said.

“Many of his players are fast and the ball was slow because of the rough surface,” the Frenchman tipped.

Uganda Hippos went down to Rwanda 2-0 at Nakivubo stadium despite 1-1 draw during the first leg of the international friendly in Kigali.

Defensive mistakes gifted the Junior Wasps with goals by Emmanuel Sebanani and former SC Villa striker Kipson Atuhaire on Wednesday.

Uganda is preparing to play Mozambique in an Africa Youth Championship qualifier here on April 22 while Rwanda is gearing up for Namibia.
