HIPPOS coaches could find themselves dropping more names on the team due to the ongoing players strike in the uganda Super League clubs. 

The U-20 team coaches Paul Nkata and Abdallah Mubiru have already dropped Express FC's Bob Kasozi, Henry Katongole, Julius Ogwang and goalkeeper Henry Ssali, who have been suspended.

The players have been suspended at Express following their failure to turn up for their Uganda Super League match against Simba.  

The game ended prematurely because Express could not raise enough players and the referee called it off when their seventh player was stretchered out. 

Players who risk exclusion for the Hippos international friendly return leg against Rwanda on March 22 include striker George Abege, who scored the lone goal in the Hippos 1-1 draw in first leg in Kigali last month. 

Other Maroons players who turn up for the Hippos are Alex Tuliraba, Muzazil Mutyaba and goalkeeper Emmanuel Akol. 

 "We are waiting for their clubs decisions. If the players get implicated in anyway we shall not have them on the national team. We dropped the players because Express has suspended them," Hippos assistant coach Abdallah Mubiru explained yesterday. 

Uganda is due to reciprocate the friendly match in Kigali by hosting Rwanda at Nakivubo stadium on March 21 in preparation for the Africa Youth Championship qualifier against Moazambique here on April 22.  

The prisons council is due to pronounce themselves about Maroons players who refused to turn up for their Uganda Super League game last week.
