EXPRESS have a chance of regaining the Bell Uganda Super League lead when they take on Hoima-Busia in Bugembe this afternoon.
A win might be an easily attainable task but that alone might not be enough. The Red Eagles have to beat the hosts by a five goal margin to edge champion URA who lead the 16 team race table with 34 points.
Express, featuring mainly upcoming talents, were in the league lead for the first stages of the competition before surrendering the position to the tax collectors.
If recent proceedings at Wankulukuku are anything to go by, then the five goal task might not be that easy.
Express has lately been limping due to not only injuries, but also absence of key players like Bonney Baingana.
But all doesn’t also seem to be well in their opponents’ camp. The pressure of playing a minimum of two matches a week seems to be having its toll on the league entrants.
Hoima-Busia, who got off to an impressive start, have since slackened with three losses and a draw.
Meanwhile, Eastern region league sides Hereign College and Busia Fisheries were on Sunday eliminated from the Bell Uganda Cup in the round of last 32.
