The witness told the Anti-Corruption Court presided over by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire that because of his busy scheduled in the UK, he authorized Bad Black to sign cheques and withdraw money from the company's account in Barclays Bank Garden City branch.

Bad Black is accused of embezzling sh11b from Daveshan where she had 25% shares in the company. She denied the charge. In another separate charge the accused is jointly charged with Meddie Ssentogo, a city socialite for conspiring to defraud the company of U$9m (sh20b)

Greenhalgh testified that when he demanded accountability of the U$2m, Bad Black failed to account for how the money was spent.

"She showed me two houses off Bombo road but they were not worth the money. When I asked for documents, she could not produce any," Greenhalgh testified.

The Briton further told Court that Bad Black claimed there were other pieces of land at Nkumba, in Entebbe, where a hotel was being constructed but still he [Greenhalgh] did not see the land.

"I provided funds for her upkeep and other personal needs. But after several attempts to get proper accountability how this money was spent,I was advised by my lawyer to report this case to police which I did," Greenhalgh said.
