Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision and Contract Management of 33 kV Medium Voltage power Lines and associated Low Voltage Networks in Rakai-Kabingo, Lumbugu-Lyantonde, Lyantonde-Lwebitakuli, Sembabule-Lwemiyaga (270km)

1. The Government of Uganda has received funding from the Royal Government of Norway for the implementation of rural grid-extension projects and intends to apply part of the funds towards payments under the contract for consultancy services for Construction Supervision and Contract Management of grid extension lines in Rakai-Kabingo, Lumbugu-Lyantonde, Lyantonde-Lwebitakuli, Sembabule-Lwemiyaga (270km)

2. The Rural Electrification Agency invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to provide Construction Supervision and Contract Management Services for the grid-extension projects above.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Rural Electrification Agency and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a).

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a Written Application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only (UGX 200,000/=). The method of payment will be by cash at REA Accounts Offices and an official receipt issued.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before 11.00 a.m. (local time) on Thursday March 22nd, 2012. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Uganda Shillings Ten Million Only (UGX10,000,000/-). Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) on Thursday March 22nd, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. (local time).
